Kobold, founded in 1860 by two German, August Kortenbach and Carl Rauh, used to be the German bestselling umbrella brand. In 1897 Kobold's designer Fritz Worring designed the first folding umbrella. In 1972 Kobold was as the designated umbrella that supplied for the Munich Olympic games.
